- Fresh vegetables of your choice.
- 1/2 cup raw cashews.
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- 1 to 3 garlic cloves, to taste.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast.
- salt and pepper, to taste.
- Place raw cashews in a food processor and pulse until nuts are very fine.
- Add in the boiling water, process until smooth.
- Add the lemon juice, garlic, olive oil & nutritional yeast. Process again until smooth.
- Add salt & pepper, to taste.
- Heat this sauce in a saucepan over a low temperature for a few minutes until thickened.
- Steam your fresh veggies.
- Use sauce on steamed veggies!
