- 1 package extra firm tofu.
- 1 package of japanese panko bread crumbs.
- 1 cup barbecue sauce.
- Olive Oil.
- Drain the tofu & rinse under cold water.
- Press tofu with a tofu press or 2 plates, drain excess water.
- Slice tofu in half-inch pieces width-wise.
- Pour barbecue sauce in a medium-sized bowl.
- Pour some panko breadcrumbs in a medium-sized bowl. You can also mix in any seasonings you would like.
- Lightly coat a non-stick baking pan with olive oil.
- Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Dip tofu slices in the barbecue sauce, coating all sides well.
- Dip barbecued tofu in the panko, covering all sides well.
- Place tofu on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, flip tofu, bake for another 15 minutes or until panko is getting golden brown.
